A NOTE ABOUT SHANGHAI
“I’ve been to Shanghai three separate times as part of JALC, the first time being early on before the JALC Shanghai club was even established! I love the welcoming audience, and I love occasionally learning familiar songs of the culture, sometimes incorporating them into the show through the lens of what we do. I enjoyed learning about the history of The Bund and the cosmopolitan culture dating back to the 1920’s. I also love the challenge of putting together an engaging and emotional set of music for the Shanghai audience - uplifting, reflective, inspiring and fun - to give the audience, regardless of their level of familiarity with jazz, a memorable and moving experience.” - DOMINICK FARINACCI
